Chzzk's official clip is a function that briefly cuts a specific section of the live broadcast screen. The order is simple.

1️⃣ Make sure the streamer allows clip creation in their channel settings. Blocked channels do not have a scissors button.

2️⃣ Tap the scissors (clip editor) icon at the bottom right of the live player.

3️⃣ The previous section will be uploaded to the clip editor. If you save by specifying the start and end of the cut and the title, it will remain as a list of channel clips and a sharing link.

Please keep two limitations in mind: Clips can only be captured in the section immediately before the moment of pressing the scissors, so if you press the button long after the exploded scene has passed, the scene may be outside the editor's range. The trick is to press it right away when you feel it has exploded. And since the length is up to 1 minute, it is difficult to capture the entire long scene.

If the broadcast has ended, how to win from the replay

Moments where your hands can't keep up in real time are saved in the replay. If there are any replays left (save settings and storage rules are covered in Summary of Chzzk replays), there are two ways.

First, create a clip directly in the replay player. Depending on the channel and video settings, clip creation may be open in the replay player. If you see the clip button on the player, you can catch the section using the same techniques as when playing live. However, depending on the settings or video type, the button may be missing or disabled, so it is difficult to expect it to work in all replays.

Second, note the section and cut it directly from the original. This is a clear workaround when you don't see the clip button. The method is to turn on the replay, note the start and end times of the exploded section, then save the original and cut out only that section using an editing program. Since you can freely trim subtitles and crops without any length restrictions, you will end up going this route when making the right clips for shorts.

If you're going to pick multiple items, write down in advance the approximate time it happened during the broadcast. The time spent scrubbing is drastically reduced.

Can this be done with a phone? What works and what doesn't work on mobile

You can get clips on mobile, but it's not as free as on PC. I feel at ease when the roles are divided.

Czizyk does not provide an official button to download the created clip directly as a file. So saving mostly relies on workarounds.

When saving and re-uploading someone else's broadcast clip, check the original streamer's permission scope and copyright first. There is a lot of overlap with platform policies, especially if you are trying to make money by re-uploading. If the purpose is to back up your broadcast, it is better in terms of picture quality and usability to download the entire replay (MP4) rather than clip by clip.

The real bottleneck is ‘finding the clip angle’

To be honest, you can learn how to press the scissors button in 5 minutes. What's hard is the process of going back and forth through the 3-6 hour replay to check "is this where the explosion occurred?" Most of the time, I spend all my time on this scrub and end up not being able to put on my shorts.

Don't just watch the video, watch the reaction signals together. Chat and Done are highlight markers taken by viewers.
